Hariri postpones vacation to discuss new govt

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri postponed his departure for a personal holiday until later Tuesday, in order to follow up on the formation of a new government, a process that entered its second month last week. A source close to the premier told The Daily Star Monday evening that Hariri would continue to hold meetings on government formation Tuesday.

Al-Mustaqbal newspaper, affiliated with Hariri’s Future Movement, reported Tuesday morning that the “prime minister-designate postponed leaving for his trip from Monday to today [Tuesday] to amplify the consultations in the coming hours and continue meetings at his Downtown Beirut residence.”
